Sun Fook Kong Actively Participated in the “Construction Safety Week 2013”arrow
(Hong Kong, 28 May 2013) Sun Fook Kong actively joint the “Construction Safety Week 2013” which was jointly organized by the Development Bureau and Construction Industry Council. The 5 days event started on the 27 May, 2013 with the theme of this year, “Zero accident‧Zero harm”.

“Construction Safety Week – Zero Accidents Ambassadors Commendation Ceremony” was the kickoff of the series of events. It took place at the Kai Tak Development Area. The Chief Executive led the pledge, “One-minded, united, for ourselves, for our families, having zero accident, enjoy life with our family”. It was also the first large-scale morning assembly organized in Hong Kong. The morning assembly was broadcasted to more than 800 sites. A number of Sun Fook Kong sites participated in the event which the workers have made a commitment concerning to make their working environment having zero accident.

“Zero Accident Ambassador Award” was established to show the appreciation towards the foremen and the workers for their contributions in keeping the working environment safe. Recently, Mr. Michael Fong, Chief Assistant Secretary of Development Bureau visited the site of “Kai Tak Development - Reconstruction and Upgrading of Kai Tak Nullah Project” and presented the awards to two winners including Mr. Tai Pui Kin and Mr. Law Chung.

Other than Mr. Tai Pui Kin and Mr. Law Chung, more than 20 front-line workers of the Group were awarded. Sun Fook Kong had organized the Zero Accident Ambassador Award Presentation Ceremony and invited Mr. Patrick Lee, Safety Director of the Group to present the awards to all winners. They were encouraged to continue to do safety and to set a good sample to other colleagues.

Contractors are responsible for promoting safety working culture and building workers’ safety awareness. Sun Fook Kong is now and will continue playing a supportive role in such activities. Besides, Sun Fook Kong will work more in keeping our workers’ health and safety by providing them a safe working environment and work cheek by jowl with the workers in building a “zero accident” working environment.
